Esteem and Confidence

Does it mean discipline should be erased? Definitely not!!!
It’s important we have discipline installed into our structure but we need to do more than the status quo and not create monsters out of discipline.

The first time i tried painting,i messed my school uniform,my mum saw it and was furious about what I have done, surprisingly,she didn’t beat me,she only said I won’t get a new uniform,rather, I would use that same uniform for the whole academic session which was a great deal of punishment for me,she also encouraged me and asked me to take any of my old cloth for my painting practices,i am now a graduate of visual arts and i am fulfilling my dream of being an artist.

I mistakenly poured ink on my uniform while practicing for my painting presentation at my school’s art exhibition,my parents got me a new uniform after i was punished and banned from painting or drawing totally,i tried to convince them many times but all my attempts turned deaf ears and i was bent to believe artistry work isn’t for me,I am presently in my 3rd year in the university studying Estate Management,but deep down, I feel unfulfilled and lost

20th century parents have raised kids in the best way they seemed fit and discipline is a major components,as awesome as it seems,the excessiveness killed the inner men of many.
21st century parents,let’s do better and not make chicken and demons out of our offsprings
